Crickhowell market on Portra 400, in the rain

Cerys Bowen·38d ago
Took the Bronica to Crickhowell market in proper sideways drizzle and I’m glad I did — Portra in flat wet light goes this lovely muted pastel that sunshine never gives you. Six frames on the wall for the next crit. The awning-stripe one is my favourite thing I’ve shot this year. Lab-developed (colour, obviously) but printed the two best on RA-4 at the Cardiff open darkroom day.

The awning one is superb — that stripe against the grey sky is doing all the work and it knows it. How were you keeping the 6x6 dry, or is the Bronica just braver than the rest of us?

One umbrella, one very patient husband. TLR-style waist-level finder helps — you can shoot from under cover and nobody clocks you doing it.

This thread is why we should do a group RA-4 session. If four of us commit I’ll book the colour drums and we can split the chemistry. Show of hands at Thursday’s crit.
